Hymn for The Missing

Here's the first of several 'song poems' I've written. Every line here (including the title) is a single, unaltered song title. It's a writing endeavor I'm really excited about, but I want to know what readers' think. I'm experimenting with how to construct and present this type of poem so I'm trying something that will only work online: every line of text will link you to its song. Read the poem completely first and then sample the tunes as much or as little as you'd like. I think you'll find that the poem also makes for an enjoyable, diverse playlist as well. It would be stellar to get some responses from you guys! Also, should I post more? (PS: starred songs contain some profanity and some songs will just link to the artist's website if I can't find the song online)

Hymn For The Missing
So I Finally Decided To Give Myself A Reason
A Good Reason
Before
There's Hell
...That I May Not Cause Pain
I Swear This Time I Mean It

Silence Must Be Heard
On Melancholy Hill

Runners Of The Sun
We Owe This To Ourselves
Now We've Made Our Ascent
Through The Light Darkly
Through The Static***
Across The Rainbow Bridge
To The Ends Of The Earth
Dusting Down The Stars

Don't Get Lost In Heaven
Easier Said Than Done
At Least We Tried

Peace Love And Understanding

Different Names For The Same Thing
You're Almost There
Now The One You Once Loved Is Leaving

An Almighty Thud
A Hundred Times In Every Direction

Here We Are After Dark
We Will Become Silhouettes
Swallowed By The Night
Once Rendering
Well Thought Out Twinkles
Conversations With Stars
Arriving Somewhere But Not Here

Ghost Symbol
What Do You Go Home To?

Each Life Critical

To Whom It May Concern
Don't Let Them See You
For Those Who Wait
Help Is On Its Way

A Promise

In my opinion, there's no better way for a lover-less wanderer to spend Valentine's Day than writing love poetry...okay, that's a joke, but I'm so cliché that that's exactly what I just did. I've recently become extremely passionate about a new idea of mine - song poetry (that is, poetry made out of songs). Basically, every line in this piece in an unaltered song title. Now don't be too judgmental if you find it cheesy because you probably don't know how difficult it is to create a coherent message out of song titles. Let me know if the concept is any good. Oh, and I have two more poems like this, if anyone would care to take a look.

A Promise

Girl
Lonely Girl
You Are All I See
When I Look At The World
Sometimes
You Don't See Me

I Wish
Your Hand In Mine
Always, To Belong
Walking On A Dream
Evermore

You Are
Where I Want To Be
Always Only For Me

Between Mind & Heart
A Place Only You Can Go
Come In Or Stay Out

This. Here And Now. With You
Stop The Time
Make This Go On Forever
I Wouldn't Mind

I Will Follow You Into The Dark
Never
Gone
